Coordination utility | Android | iOS

One tap instead of ten messages.

GoNow is a coordination utility for the trusted groups you already have: your office, your weekend crew, your apartment community. Skip the “anyone free for coffee?” chat thread. Press a button, see who is coming, meet in two minutes.

The problem

Coordination today lives inside chat.

General-purpose chat apps were built for conversation, not coordination. Three recurring frictions make plans fall apart:

01 | Repetition

Same five questions, every day.

“Anyone free for chai?” gets typed out fresh in every group, every morning, by everyone. The friction adds up before the answer even arrives.

02 | Noise

Twenty messages, one decision.

A single coordination question turns into a thread that buries everything else in the same chat. Important context disappears under reaction GIFs.

03 | Ambiguity

No structured view of who is in.

Without a clear “coming / not coming” signal, plans quietly dissolve. People show up to nothing, or nobody shows up at all.

How it works

Three steps. No typing.

GoNow removes the chat entirely. The whole loop fits inside one breath: press a button, watch the responses, walk out the door.

1

Pick a button

Each group has its own curated activity buttons: Coffee, Smoke, Lunch, Walk, Ride. One tap, no confirmation modal.

Smoke break starts in your office group. Default timer: 10 min.
2

See who is in

Members get a single push with three inline actions: Coming, Busy, Ignore. No typing back, no app open.

Live dashboard: 3 Coming | 1 Busy | 2 Ignored.
3

Meet up

Set the meetup point once from your saved places, then forget it. Location is shared only by people who tapped Coming, and only while the activity is live.

Auto-expires after 10 min. No manual cleanup, no dead activities.
Built for daily use

Every feature earns its place.

Eight things done well, not eighty things done badly. Each one maps to a real friction from the chat-coordination problem.

Private groups

Create unlimited groups. Invite via link or 6-character code. Member previews, admin controls, role-based mute.

Unlimited groups | Free tier

Custom action buttons

Curated library of 25 pre-built buttons per group. Plus one custom button per group on the free tier, unlimited on Premium.

Coffee | Tea | Lunch | Walk | Ride | More

Auto-expiry

Pick a timer: now, 5, 10, or 30 minutes. The activity closes itself and moves to the read-only feed. No manual cleanup.

Activity moves to feed automatically

One-tap meetup

Up to 10 saved places per group. Drop a pin once, reuse forever. If the location changes, every responder gets an instant push update.

Static meetup point | Live update on change

Smart Status

Available, Meeting, Working, Sleeping, Driving, Offline. Non-urgent pings mute automatically; Urgent and Emergency always break through.

6 statuses | Urgent always delivers

Real-time dashboard

Live Coming / Busy / Ignored counts update the instant someone responds. The whole group sees who is actually showing up.

Socket.IO | Sub-second propagation

Inline response push

FCM notification arrives with three actions right on the lock screen. Tap Coming without opening the app.

Coming | Busy | Ignore, inline

Temporary live location

Only members who tapped Coming share their location. Sharing stops the moment they change their response or the activity expires.

Opt-in | Hard-deleted on expiry

Read-only feed

Reverse-chronological history of started and finished activities per group. No replies, no reactions, no threads. Deliberately.

Group feed | No chat
Privacy promise

Your location is not a product.

Three rules, written into the code, not the marketing:

1
No background tracking Location is sent only while you have the app open on an active live activity screen.
2
Coming-only, by default Only members who tapped Coming can see your location. Busy and Ignored see nothing.
3
Hard-deleted on expiry Live location rows are deleted the moment the activity closes, or you change your response away from Coming.
4
No chat, no scraping There is no in-app chat. There is no message content to harvest. The product surface is buttons and status.

Start the next break with one tap.

Free during MVP. Office teams first, friend circles next, apartment communities in the next release.
